Week 1

I've been working at it for a week, and I must say I did very well. I haven't weighed or measured or anything like that, so I have no stats to report.

I can say this: we had presidency meeting, there were lots of delicious treats, it was kind of stressful with the kids, and I didn't eat one thing. Not 1 M&M. Not a single bite of a cookie. I've been eating my salads pretty much every day. I've been watching my portion sizes and only eating one small treat after the kids go to bed.

Except for tonight, when I had a pile of leftover chicken nuggets for dinner and a s'more and some of the kids' leftover donuts for my treat after they went to bed (and after I cleaned the basement, no small task!). The donuts and nuggets happened at the same time, but I'm not going to beat myself up. It was a rough day, I had one moment of weakness and now I'm back on track. I didn't come down and pig out after they were in bed, I just put away the rest of the food and went downstairs and got to work.

Week 2 - bring it on. :-)

  1. I always have to remind myself when I have a little slip that it's just one little slip and not to totally fall off my wagon. It's certainly a challenge, but I have to keep picking myself up.

You're doing great--sorry that you've been sick. When you get back from Utah, you'll get back on track.
